The garden is well known for it’s waterworks, including the 300 year old Cascade, the Squirting Willow Tree Fountain and the impressive gravity-fed Emperor Fountain. As well as the Maze, the Rockery and the Rose, Cottage and Kitchen Gardens, there are also over five miles of walks with rare trees, shrubs, streams and ponds to discover.
Also worth visiting are the Victorian rock garden, the maze, the redesigned Trout stream.
Chatsworth is undergoing a major project of essential restoration. Please be aware that phase four of the Masterplan will include scaffolding on the east and north façades of the house. The Masterplan is made possible in part by visitor admission revenue and our Friends of Chatsworth programme through the Chatsworth House Trust.
